Add AI to your existing website without moving the whole site

An AI feature and website hosting are different services. A compatible existing site can often call an external AI service through a suitable backend; it does not necessarily need to move onto a platform marketed as AI hosting.

Define one useful feature

Start with a bounded task such as drafting a private summary or searching approved help content. Decide what information the feature may use and what should happen when it cannot answer. Do not let a first chatbot change orders, prices or account access without a separate reviewed design.

Keep credentials out of the browser

Place secret API credentials in the appropriate server-side configuration. Browser-delivered JavaScript, a public repository and screenshots are not secret storage. Use a backend that the selected hosting plan supports; a static website may need a separate backend endpoint.

Plan cost and failure behavior

  • Limit request size, frequency and allowed operations.
  • Use provider-supported usage controls and monitor spend.
  • Minimize personal data sent to external services.
  • Provide a normal contact or support path when AI is unavailable.
  • Test misuse, inaccurate answers and service failures privately.

Review Cheapville hosting compatibility for the website and endpoint separately. The AI provider’s charges, terms and data handling remain separate from hosting. This article describes a possible architecture, not an included AI integration service or a guarantee that every model can run directly on a shared hosting plan.

Your next step

Compare cPanel hosting. Confirm compatibility, current availability, inclusions and billing terms before purchasing.
