Small-business SEO: start with the pages customers need
SEO helps search engines discover and understand useful pages. It does not create a good offer or guarantee that a visitor becomes a customer.
Begin with a customer task
List the questions people ask before choosing your service. Match each important intent to a useful page. A service page can explain scope and the next step; a guide can answer a preparation question. Avoid making several nearly identical pages compete for the same purpose.
Check the foundations
- The intended public page returns successfully and can be crawled.
- The title and main heading describe its actual subject.
- Useful information is available in readable page content.
- Internal links lead to relevant next steps.
- The mobile contact or purchase journey works.
Measure more than positions
Use the correct Search Console and analytics properties. Separate branded searches from new-customer searches and review landing pages, inquiries and purchases where attribution is available. A rise in impressions is different from a rise in qualified business.
Make changes you can explain and verify. Do not invent reviews, add unrelated keywords or buy an SEO product expecting automatic rankings. A smaller number of clear, accurate pages can be more useful than a large library that repeats generic advice.
Your next step
Review SEO product options. Confirm current availability, inclusions and billing terms before purchasing.
